The effect of monsoon is now seen to be decreasing gradually. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for some places. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain clear in most of the states of the country for the next three days. However, during this time there may be moderate to heavy rains in the north-eastern states, northern states.
The states where the weather will remain clear during this period may have to face severe heat in the coming days. For some other states including Punjab, the Meteorological Department has said that the monsoon will weaken slightly from Friday. The forecast of the Meteorological Department for the next three days is as follows.
August 11: Thunderstorm and rain may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Heavy rain has been predicted in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain for all the North Eastern states including Bihar, Sikkim, West Bengal.
August 12: There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in East Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in Jharkhand, Mizoram, Tripura. An alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Bihar, North West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh indicating the possibility of heavy rains.
August 13: Heavy rain has been predicted in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Tripura, Mizoram. Rain and thundershowers are possible over Andhra Pradesh’s Rayalaseema Coast, Odisha Coast. An alert has been issued under the possibility of heavy rain in Sikkim, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh.
