The Indian Meteorological Department has said in its forecast issued today that there will be rain and thundershowers in many places and adjoining areas of Delhi. Very heavy rain will occur in some areas of Delhi. At the same time, there will be rain in Sonipat, Kharkhoda in Haryana adjoining Delhi. Heavy rains lashed many parts of Delhi late Thursday night as well. On Thursday, the Indian Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert of rain. Along with this, there was a possibility of heavy rain in Delhi for the next one or two days.
Yellow alert for rain in Uttarakhand
Yellow alert for rain continues in Uttarakhand till September 6. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in the state even after 6th. Light to moderate rain and heavy rain may occur at isolated places in the hill districts of the state on Friday as well. In August, there was a 26 per cent deficit in monsoon rains, while it has been raining heavily since the beginning of September. More heavy rain is expected in September.
It may rain in these areas too
The Meteorological Department said that apart from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal and Sikkim, Saurashtra and Kutch in Gujarat will also see cloudy sky and there is a possibility of rain. Apart from this, rain may also occur in Odisha, Coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala.
Apart from this, the Meteorological Department said in its forecast that light to moderate rain may occur over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Bihar, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Rayalaseema, parts of Tamil Nadu and rest of Northeast India. There is also a possibility of light rain in Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Delhi and Haryana.
