The Anti-Terrorist Police (CTD) of Pakistan has killed seven terrorists after raiding the hideout of terrorists during an operation in the south-west part of Balochistan province, occupied by Pakistan.
The Anti-Terrorism Department (CTD) of the police said on Wednesday that CTD personnel conducted an operation late Wednesday night in the Kohar Dam area of the province’s Loralai district, during which terrorists opened fire on the police team in Loralai, according to the CTD.
Xinhua news agency reported that seven terrorists were killed on the spot in the firing between the terrorists and the police. However, his three accomplices managed to escape from the spot. A search operation has been started in the surrounding areas to arrest the absconding terrorists.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition including explosives, grenades and assault rifles were also recovered from the hideout during the operation. Terrorism-related violence has increased in Balochistan in recent times.
Violence seems to be increasing in Balochistan province. A few days ago, a vehicle of Chinese nationals was targeted by terrorists in Gwadar. Four people along with a Chinese national were injured due to the attack, while two young children were killed in the attack. Along with this, three workers of the coal mine of the area were also killed a few days ago by unidentified gunmen.
On August 22, a Pakistani Army vehicle collided with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by terrorists in the Gichik area of Balochistan. In this attack, a captain of the Pakistani army was killed and two soldiers were injured. In recent times, Balochistan insurgents have intensified this fight for their independence.
