Prime Minister Narendra Modi released financial assistance to Women Self Help Groups (SHGs). During this, PM Modi said that our government provided more help to women SHGs than the previous governments. We opened bank accounts for women and provided loans to SHGs without guarantee.
PM Modi said that when our government came, we saw that there were crores of sisters of the country who did not even have a bank account, who were far away from the banking system. That’s why we first started a huge campaign to open Jan Dhan accounts.

PM Modi said that to increase the scope of entrepreneurship among women, big financial help has been released today for more participation in the resolve of self-reliant India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi further said that more than Rs 1,600 crore has been sent to lakhs of such groups of sisters, be it enterprises related to food processing, women farmer producers union or other self-help groups.
PM Modi further said that this is the time of 75 years of independence to set new goals and move forward with new energy. The government is constantly creating that environment, those conditions from where all of you sisters can connect our villages with prosperity and prosperity.
PM Modi further said that the government is also encouraging toys made in India a lot, it is also giving all possible help for this. Especially the sisters of our tribal areas are traditionally associated with it. In this too there is a lot of potential for SHGs. He said that today the campaign is going on to make the country free from single use plastic. Self help groups have a dual role in this. You also have to raise awareness about single use plastic and work for its alternative.
PM Modi said that today there are about 70 lakh self-help groups across the country, to which about 8 crore sisters are connected. During the last 6-7 years, SHGs have increased by more than three times, the participation of sisters has been ensured three times.
PM Modi further said that in today’s changing India, opportunities are increasing for the sisters and daughters of the country to move forward. All the sisters are being connected with facilities like house, toilets, electricity, water.
