Akhund has been made caretaker prime minister

The Taliban, which took power in Afghanistan on Tuesday, has formed its government. Mullah Hassan Akhund, a close confidant of Taliban founder Mullah Omar, was made the caretaker prime minister of Afghanistan, while the head of the Taliban’s political office, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and Abdul Salam Hanafi, were appointed deputy prime ministers.
