The number of active cases of corona infection in the country is the lowest in 140 days

The ministry said that 3,86,351 active cases have been registered and 38,353 new cases of corona virus were reported in 24 hours. At the same time, 497 infected people died during this period. After this, the total number of infected in the country has gone up to 3,20,36,511 and the number of dead is 4,29,179. Active cases account for 1.21 percent of the total infection, which is the lowest since March 2020. Active cases reduced by 2,157 in 24 hours.

The rate of people recovering from corona infection has increased to 97.45 percent. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said today, ‘A total of 48,50,56,507 samples have been tested for Covid in India till Tuesday. Out of this, 17,77,962 samples were tested yesterday only. According to the information received from the ministry, the number of Kovid vaccinations in the country has gone up to 51,85,17,148. Out of this, more than 37,76,765 doses were given on Tuesday.

Corona vaccination is going on in the country to prevent deadly corona infection. In this sequence, so far more than 53.24 crore (53,24,44,960) doses of corona virus vaccine have been made available by the Center to the states and union territories. The ministry said that more than 2.25 crore (2,25,03,900) doses of vaccine are still available with the states and union territories and private hospitals.

On August 7 of last year (2020), the number of cases of corona infection had crossed 20 lakh and on August 23, more than 30 lakh cases were registered. After this 40 lakh cases were reported on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September. At the same time, 60 lakhs on 28th September, 70 lakhs on 11th October, 80 lakhs on 29th October, 90 lakhs on 20th November and more than 1 crore cases were registered in the country on 19th December 2020. By the beginning of May 2021, this graph had crossed 2 crore and on 23 June more than 3 crore Kovid-19 cases were registered.
