There has been a decrease in the number of corona infected in the country. In the last 24 hours, 35,499 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in the country while the number of infected has increased to 3,19,69,954. During this time 447 more people have also died due to infection, due to which the death toll has increased to 4,28,309. The infection rate has also improved in Assam. In view of the improvement in the positivity rate, the Assam government has relaxed the restrictions. The partial curfew in the state has been extended from 6 pm to 5 am. This order will be applicable across the state from 5 am on August 10.
The infection rate in Assam is 2.93 percent. There are currently 9,712 active cases in the state while 5,57,654 patients have been cured of the infection. According to news agency PTI, 568 more people were found infected with corona in Assam on Sunday, after which the number of people infected so far in the state has increased to 5,74,100. After the death of 15 more infected in the state, the death toll has increased to 5,387. The National Health Mission said that 1,347 more patients of Kovid-19 have died but it has not yet been included in the total number of dead. Officials say that these patients were also suffering from other diseases.
At the same time, according to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the active cases in the country have come down to 4,02,188, which is 1.27 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, there has been a decrease of 4,634 patients in active cases. According to the ministry, the recovery rate in the country is 97.39 percent and the death rate is 1.34 percent. So far, a total of 3,11,39,457 people have defeated the infection in the country. The work of testing, tracking and treatment is going on in the fight against Corona. So far, a total of 48,17,67,232 samples have been tested for corona. Of these, 13,71,871 samples were tested on Sunday. Vaccination work is also going on fast in the country, till now a total of 50.86 crore doses of anti-corona vaccines have been given.
