There is news of Taliban attacking from many sides to capture the big city of Mazar-e-Sharif in southern Afghanistan. Fierce fighting broke out between the Taliban with government troops in the border areas of the city. The common people in fear do not see any way to save themselves.

Munir Ahmed Farhad, spokesman for the governor of the province, confirmed this. Fighting between the Taliban and government troops is also going on in other areas of the country. According to Reuters, Qatar has appealed to the Taliban to stop the violence amid fierce fighting. Qatar is the only country that has consistently supported the Taliban. The Taliban’s political office is operating in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

First squad of US Marine commandos reached Kabul

US President Joe Biden discussed the situation in Afghanistan with his special aides on Saturday. After talks with Biden’s allies, there have also been indications that the US has postponed the process of withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan for a few days. In the coming days, the US may send a few thousand more troops to Afghanistan who will help the Afghan army in saving Kabul and other cities from being taken by the Taliban. The first contingent of Marine Commandos, included in the 3,000 soldiers coming to evacuate the consular personnel from Afghanistan, has reached Kabul on Friday. The rest of the US troops will arrive by Sunday.
