The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many parts of the country for the next 4-5 days. During this, heavy rains are expected in many parts of North and Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. According to IMD, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over East Uttar Pradesh. He said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Northeast and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next five days.
The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of widespread rain in East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand during the next four-five days. According to the IMD, heavy rains are expected in Jharkhand during August 10-13 and in Ganga region of West Bengal during August 11-13. The Meteorological Department has forecast rain at some places in Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan in the next 24 hours. According to Skymet Weather, during next 24 hours, parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu And light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells at isolated parts of Lakshadweep. Light to moderate rain may occur over rest of Northeast India, Gangetic West Bengal, parts of Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, parts of Vidarbha, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
Heavy rain alert in Bihar today
Heavy rain and thunderstorm warnings have been issued in 10 districts of Bihar in the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for East and West Champaran, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Gaya, Sitamarhi, Kishanganj, Bhabua, Rohtas, Araria for the next 24 hours. Due to the active rain system in the state, light to moderate rain is expected in most parts till August 13. The Monsoon Trough is currently passing through Dehri. Simultaneously, a cyclonic circulation condition is persisting in and around East UP.
Heavy rain alert in Himachal pradesh for three days
In Himachal Pradesh, an alert of heavy rain has been issued by the Meteorological Department for three days. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains in the plains and central mountainous parts of the state on August 12, 13 and 14. There is a possibility of bad weather in the entire state till August 15. The weather is also likely to remain bad in the central mountainous parts on August 16. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains can cause landslides and increase the water level of rivers. In such a situation, local people and tourists have been advised to stay away from rivers and streams.
The Meteorological Department has issued heavy rain alert for Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts.
